Not too long ago, I stumbled upon Heather Johnston’s podcast, The Creative Pivot. A statement in her bio caught my attention. It read, “Treat your life as a work of art just waiting for your creative mind to bring it to life.” I love that, and I truly believe that what happens before the unveiling is not void of pivots. At least, that’s true for me.

Making The Shift

I’ve worn a couple of career hats over the years. At 22, I was a licensed CPA working for one of the Big 6 accounting firms at the time, and not enjoying Corporate America. I moved around to different companies trying to find the right fit, and quickly realized that Corporate America was just not for me.

Several years later, I left the accounting and auditing world to focus all of my time on the calligraphy business I started (MM Ink). I was in my zone, doing what I love, and connecting with so many wonderful couples, their families, and fellow creatives. I ran my calligraphy business successfully for 16 years, and feel truly blessed to have those connections, see my work featured in magazines, and have the trust of other creatives to collaborate on celebrity client projects.

During that time though, I saw how some of the businesses I interacted with were making the magic happen on the outside, but knew they needed someone on their team to create the right flow on the inside of their business to stay afloat. I had a burning desire to help and knew I needed to make a shift.

So with a wealth of experience in both professions, I merged the best of my left and right brain to help other small businesses serve their clients well, streamline their business, and regain full capacity to create and do what they love. It is a joy to support other female business owners as they achieve their goals and thrive both professionally and personally.

What I Do Now As A Project Pro and Creative Business Specialist

I help creatives and the creatives at heart by fixing and managing key areas of their business that have created overwhelm. I also jump in and tackle projects that got lost on the to-do/someday list, and design stellar client experiences for clients using Dubsado as their CRM platform. 

For me, it’s not about “checking the box”. I will take the time to understand your business, learn your brand voice, and grasp the bigger vision for your company – that’s my sweet spot. I’m here to roll up my sleeves for you, bringing both my business and creative skills to help you crush those goals, thoughtfully manage your business operations, and save you time.
